I am working on a new indoor public art piece that will hang at Skidmark Garage in Cleveland, Ohio. The owner of Skidmark Brian Schaffran, has been amazing to work with and is pretty much letting me do what I want as long as the piece doesn’t fall off the wall and crush somebody. I joke, it won’t.
This 12 foot high sculpture currently called “MotorHead” is also part of a video project I am working on with Purple Films of Cleveland. The video will show the entire process of; identifying a space, working with a client, drawing up an idea or solution, producing the work and finally installing the work.
I am very excited to be working with Mike Moritz from Moritz Wood and Metal. He is a great guy, a great thinker and the fabricator on the project; essentially taking all the found motorcycle parts I have assembled and welding, wiring and attaching them to a large grid. It’s real process.
Stay tuned for more info!
